The pre-conference is for general EMCs and Career Technical Education EMCs. There will also be numerous EMC breakout sessions during the overall Michigan Career Education Conference.

The Michigan Family and Consumer Sciences Pre-Conference will feature unique sessions and networking opportunities for FCS educators across the state of Michigan. Family and Consumer Sciences pathways prepare students for careers in education, child development, fashion design, financial management and nutrition and wellness. Sessions will be available on enhancing your FCS classroom environment and community, free personal finance resources, and a networking session. This is a dynamic opportunity to connect with other FCS educators. We hope you will join us in our first year as a part of Michigan’s largest and only open career education conference.
Youth Registered Apprenticeships

The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Education, is offering a pre-conference focused on Youth Registered Apprenticeships. This session will provide valuable information on supporting students, particularly those in special populations, though all students can benefit. Topics will include various types of youth registered apprenticeships, industry and labor trades, employer partnerships, and models for secondary youth registered apprenticeship programs.
